Dear Friends,

Your encouragement and support in various means helped me to accomplish my first Half Marathon of my life (with a lucky bib # 5414) on September 27, 09. The run started at 7:30 a.m. at Toronto City Hall with 16C and cloudy sky. The road surface was a bit slippery due to the overnight rain before the event. Over 20,000 runners joined the event and some of them were professional marathoners from oversea. Thousands and thousands of families and friends came out to cheer for their beloved participants. Volunteers and communities came out to help at the water stations and neighborhood cheering points, or just gather along the curb of the road throughout the race course. With less than 2 months training and new to the Half Marathon, I managed to complete the Half Marathon in 2 hrs 15 mins official time.

Your involvement during my pledge helped me raise CAN$1588 for Canada ALPHA Education Fund. Thank you so much once again for your donation and support in whatever means.

It was a great course to join this BIG party, I never seen so many people came out at the same time in Toronto during dawn. This Half Marathon run had added to my other endurance sports accomplishments, such as the completion of 100Km walk in the mountain trails around 30 hours during the Oxfam Trailwalker樂施毅行者 a few times back in Hong Kong.

With your motivation and support, I am sure I can do it again for the charities that are committed to supporting the communities; such as Canada ALPHA Education Fund. I am looking forward to run again and may challenge myself for the Full Marathon next year at Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on Sept 26, 2010.

Cheers,

Larry 兆果
